A unique work of art: the performance «ŽANKA» at Opera i teatar Madlenianum
The performance "ŽANKA" at Opera i teatar Madlenianum in Belgrade on November 8 is a unique work of art that plunges the audience into the darkness of the past and makes them think about deep questions of morality and fate. The performance tells the story of the great actress Žanka Stokić, who, before her death, revives her creativity and complex relationships with her loved ones.
In the play by Miodrag Ilić, the main role of Žanka Stokić is splendidly performed by Jelica Sretenović. Her acting skills bring real emotions to the stage and allow the audience to plunge into the atmosphere of life and death. Also taking part in the performance are actors Milan Mihajlović - Kaci and Petar Mihajlović, who switch between several characters with ease.
"ŽANKA" is a project dedicated to the memory of a great actress, which we celebrate this year. For 130 years we have admired her talent and now we have the opportunity to touch her life and work. Director Milica Kralj, scenographer and costume designer Milica Bajic and composer Miroljub Arangelovic-Rasinski have created a unique atmosphere of the performance.
