To the Glory of Historical Ties: The Romanovs' concert in Belgrade will penetrate the hearts of the listeners!
In the center of Belgrade, on the square near the monument to the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, a majestic concert called "To the glory of the royal Romanov dynasty" took place. The event was organized by the Russian House in Belgrade and the Serbian organization Orthodox Thread.
The concert participants performed works in Russian and Serbian, creating a magical musical atmosphere. The choir of the Monastery of Our Lady of Three Hands, as well as the popular folk performer Marko Shchepanovich, performed on the stage. Writer Branko Stankovic read poetry and prose, recreating the spirit of the era.
The organizers of the concert stressed that the Romanov dynasty has always shown a special love for the Serbs and Serbia. The Russian kingdom provided material and spiritual assistance to the Serbian people for centuries. The very fact that the Romanov dynasty died saving the Serbian people only strengthened the special spiritual ties between peoples.
The Orthodox Thread organization noted that Russia entered World War I unprepared to help fraternal Serbia, and this sacrifice is not forgotten by the Serbian people even 105 years after the death of Nicholas II and the royal family. The historical ties between Russia and Serbia continue to strengthen, retaining their special significance and significance for both peoples.
