Description
Club Barutana is a unique place with a rich history, located on the territory of the medieval castle of Kalemegdan. The history of this site goes back to the 17th century, when a historical warehouse was erected here, designed to store a significant amount of gunpowder used to protect Kalemegdan during various historical events.
Since 1995, the Barutana Club has become a creative arena for many talented domestic and foreign artists who have brought it to life with their exciting performances. Opened by the atmosphere of the opera club and the historical surroundings of the castle, events at Barutana attracted both locals and tourists, creating a unique atmosphere of cultural exchange and interaction.
However, in 2003 the club was closed for a while. But its story is not over, and in 2014 the Barutana club was resurrected in all its glory to continue its mission to support art and talent. Once again open to the public, the club has become the epitome of the cultural richness and versatility of Belgrade.
Today the Barutana Club continues to attract visitors with its unique look and spirit and is a place where music, art and culture come together in sincere unity. Here you can enjoy the performances of talented artists, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the past and enjoy moments of inspiration and joy. Club Barutana has become an integral part of the cultural life of Belgrade, and its history continues to be written with each new concert or performance, remaining in the hearts of everyone who steps on this unique stage.
