White Palace (Beli Dvor)

Description

The White Palace, also known as Beli Dvor, is the official residence of the former royal family of Yugoslavia, the Royal House of Karadjordjevic. This palace is located in the Royal Complex, in the Dedinje neighborhood of Belgrade. Architect Aleksandar Djordjević designed the palace in a neo-Palladian style, inspired by 18th century English country houses such as Ditchley Park. The interior of the palace was decorated with 19th-century Anglo-Georgian and Russian antiques provided by the French design firm Maison Jansen, which later decorated the White House during the John F. Kennedy administration.
