In a whirlwind of nightmares just before her death, the famous actress Žanka Stokic recalls her glorious and difficult life. The magnificent production of Miodrag Ilić's play, where three actors rise to multiple roles at once, weaves together a historical era full of traumatic events. At the center of attention is the issue of moral culpability of the artists, as well as the use of their governments to achieve their goals. "Žanka" is a work that combines humor, poignancy, and tragic action.

The "Žanka" project is an homage to a great actress who left her vivid mark in the history of theater. We are celebrating the 130th anniversary of her birth and the 70th anniversary of Žanka Stokić's death. Our team, led by director Milica Kralj, costume designer Milica Bajić and composer Miroljub Arangelović-Rasinski, has created a unique atmosphere and brought the story of Žanka Stokić on stage, embodied by Jelica Sretenović, Milan Mihajlović and Petar Mihajlović.
