The play "Niko Nije Zaboravljen I Ničega Se Ne Sećamo" at the Atelje 212 Theatre in Belgrade promises to be a highlight of the theatrical life of the capital of Serbia. Inspector Lepa Vidić, a mother herself, immerses herself in the world of the mothers of missing children, encountering their experiences and memories of the war past of the 1990s. In the process of investigation, Lepa unravels a tangle of old conflicts and crimes, shedding light on the history of an entire society. The novel on which the play is based was described by Periša Perišić as “forensics of collective memory”, and this definition accurately conveys its essence.
The production of “Niko Nije Zaboravljen I Ničega Se Ne Sećamo” has already attracted the attention of the public thanks to the success of the novel, which won the Buka publishing house competition for the best unpublished novel. It was also shortlisted for the prestigious NIN award and nominated for the Meša Selimović award.
The team of authors of the play includes composer Vladimir Pejković, costume designer Biljana Tegeltija Bojanić, set designer Zorana Petrov, stage movement assistant Damjan Kekojević and organizer Boško Radonjic. They all contributed to the creation of this exciting production.
